🚨 Security Alert: Don't Fall for the "Missing Card" Scam!
As people approach Medicare age, they are frequently targeted by fraudsters. One common scam we hear about is a letter or call asking if you have "not received your Medicare card" yet, and instructing you to call a number or provide personal information for verification.
🛡️ Your Scam Prevention Checklist:
Do NOT Respond to Unsolicited Card Requests: The government will never call or send a letter uninvited asking you to "verify" your Medicare number or Social Security number just to get a new card. Your new card (when applicable) is mailed to you automatically and is always FREE.
Don't Pay for Your Card: If someone asks for a payment to "upgrade" or "send" your new card, it is a scam.
Hang Up on Threats: If someone threatens to cancel your benefits if you don't share information immediately, hang up. Medicare does not operate this way.
If in Doubt, Call Us First: If you receive a suspicious letter or call, please contact our trusted experts at Senior Benefits Plus before giving out any personal details. We are here to help you verify legitimate communications.

We want to keep our readers ahead of the curve! The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B will be $202.90 for 2026. This is an increase from the previous year's premium.
This amount is the standard for most beneficiaries, but those with higher incomes may pay a higher Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). As your benefits experts, we can help you understand how this change affects your overall budget and coverage plan.
🧑🤝🧑 Your Trust is Our Best Benefit: A Gentle Request for Referrals
We are so grateful for your continued support and for choosing Senior Benefits Plus to secure your financial and health future.
There is no greater compliment than knowing you trust us enough to recommend us to a loved one. If you have friends, family, or neighbors in Kansas or Missouri who are turning 65, or who are simply confused about their current Medicare, Social Security, or insurance options, we would be honored to help them find the same confidence you have.
A simple conversation could make a huge difference in their retirement journey.
🧤 Winter Warmth and Safety Tips
As the temperatures drop, here are a few simple tips to keep your home safe and sound this winter:
Disconnect Hoses: To prevent a frozen pipe burst, be sure to unhook and drain all outdoor water hoses before the first hard freeze.
Check Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors: Test the batteries in your detectors. Winter is when we spend more time indoors and often use heating sources like fireplaces or furnaces.
Stay Active Indoors: If ice or snow prevents outdoor walks, keep moving inside! Simple stretching, chair yoga, or walking laps can maintain health and circulation.
The Cranberry-Turkey-Waffle Melt
Turn that leftover turkey and cranberry sauce into a comforting, sweet, and savory sandwich!
What you need:
2 frozen waffles (buttered and toasted/warmed)
3-4 slices of cooked turkey (thinly sliced)
2 tablespoons of cranberry sauce
1 slice of your favorite cheese (cheddar or provolone work well!)
Instructions:
Lightly toast or warm your waffles in the toaster or oven.
Layer the cheese and turkey onto one waffle.
Top the turkey with a generous dollop of cranberry sauce.
Place the second waffle on top.
Grill the sandwich in a pan or a panini press until the cheese is melted and the waffles are perfectly crisp! Enjoy!

🗓️ A Fun Historical Fact for December 1st
Did you know that December 1st, 1913, marks a monumental moment in industrial history? On this date, Henry Ford introduced the first moving assembly line at his Highland Park, Michigan, factory. This innovation drastically cut the time it took to build a car, making them more affordable and revolutionizing manufacturing worldwide!
